Better Crop Vision I & II -Jackpot
July 5, 2024, 7:24 p.m.

I have unlocked both Crop Vision skills in the skill tree and now have the numbers above the plants. Unfortunately, these numbers are, in my opinion, absolutely meaningless.

1. I only found out what this number actually stands for through the Discord. I assumed it showed me the days the plant still needed to finish (because that is the information that is important and makes sense to me with Crop Vision), and that the skill simply doesn't work and is bugged. The fact that this is the phase the plant is in is not mentioned anywhere, and I would never have guessed it.
Accordingly, it would be nice if the information about what the number actually stands for could be noted somewhere.

2. Even now that I know what this arbitrary number stands for, the number is meaningless because I don't know how many phases a plant has. I can't even look that up in Plant Daddy, because nowhere is mentioned how many phases different plants have. In my opinion, it's a very strange decision to have two skills that - at least to me - don't give any information about anything.

If you want to do it like that, my suggestion would be to either store information somewhere about how many phases each plant has so that the information from the crop vision has actual meaning, or to simply display it like "1/4" above the plant so that I can see: Ah, four phases, we're in the first. (Or a mix of both)

Although I don't really understand why the information about the respective phase is important, the number of when the crops are ready is actually the interesting one.

So my actual suggestion would be:
- Crop Vision I: Shows how many days it still takes until you can harvest the plant.
- Crop Vision II: Shows whether there is a seeding station (perhaps with a small seed next to the number or the name of the plant as an indicator) and, once the plant is fully grown, how many days it still takes to get to the seeding station.
- You could also just do it with symbols if you don't want to use numbers.
- Crop Vision I then shows a growing plant and slowly fills up (from bottom to top, as plants grow), where you can roughly see how long it still takes until the plant is fully grown.
- Crop Vision II shows a seed next to the plant symbol if the plant has a seeding station. It's greyed out as long as the plant is still growing and the seed symbol only becomes "visible" when the plant is fully grown and you have to wait for the seeding station - and the symbol also fills up until that time.
