I've currently built the larger greenhouse and started using planter boxes inside. I tried planting some out-of-season crops (in spring, planting corn that grows in summer) and it is not growing. I thought the intended purpose of the greenhouse was to gain the ability to plant anything, anytime. That doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.
