Add a rain barrel item you can build on the farm that will automatically fill up your water supply when it's raining. (similar to the electric pump, but a cheaper option)

Similarly to this rain chains are popular in Japan and can feed into a rain barrel, they're beautiful and really aesthetically pleasing and can blend into some of the architecture we already see in the alpha really well (modern and 'old/antique' style)
