If my game is lagging a lot, the map will say it is unavailable until I give the game some time to catch up and then open the map

Hi! Is it possible you toggled off the UI? you can do that on PC with "PG UP" key or "L3" on controller. If you run into this again and that doesn't help, please provide some more info so i can try to reproduce your issue. Thank you! ☺
