Yes, this seems to have only started occuring since the 3rd patch. My cat had a bowl and showed as hydrated. Then today was the first time I have played on this save since the patch, I saw my cat was thirsty, grabbed some water with the bucket, and found that my cat's water bowl now claimed to be a dog water bowl. I initially though I just maybe had bought the wrong dish and not noticed. I went to Gabe's place, bought a new cat water bowl. I placed it down with the drone. The instant I place it down, it claimed the water bowl was already filled. My cat's status still said thirsty and it didn't interact with the new water bowl I placed all day. I played through the day, slept, and the next day my cat still said thirsty and when i walked over to the bowl, it was labeled as dog water bowl. I did some further testing. I didn't have a dog but decided to get an actual dog water bowl. After I placed the real dog water bowl, my cat ran over and drank out of it. The cat water bowls that turn into "dog bowls" do not seem to be acknowledged by the cat.

I had this issue as well. When I place a Cat Water Bowl from the drone, my cat will go to it and drink out of it. However in the morning the Bowl will show as a Dog Water Bowl, and my cat won't drink out of it. When removed with a drone it shows as a Dog Water Bowl.
