Unable to build Fence Gates -Lehmyare

Specifically with the "Horizontal Slat" fences & gates, when ever I try and replace a Fence with the gate it will make the construction sound and the smoke effect, but the construction will not stick, with the fence remaining.

Hi! When building a gate make sure you are placing it on a fence that is fully built. When the fence is built it should add to it fine ☺ I do see where while the fence is still a blueprint, it does a poof like something is being built, so i understand the confusion. Thank you hope this helps!

Thank you for the clarification. After building a fence section I was able to build the gate.
