I noticed this bug a few times now as I have harvested my crops. Some of them somehow just start dropping from the sky. The only way I can actually get them in my pocket is to stand under them as they fall. I've tested this bug with a few different crops and it happens with all of them, fruit trees included.

I think it’s the way the crops spawn when plucked. They pop up at high speed and fly high into the sky and then drop down. I’ve found I can grab them by running through the crops later.

Happens only when I right click to harvest the produce. I think they do a fall loop for a time before settling. I have noticed this when I harvest my onions that I planted under a shed. It will fall through the ground, then land on the roof of the shed right over where it is was planted.
